I have watched and preached and taught common dignity through the pages of books, both fiction and non-fiction until my voice grew more powerful with every reason to raise it.
This weekend, as I observed millions across the world marching with their voices raised for that very common dignity, I was proud to be a woman and proud of those that love women. As the founder of a movement myself, that desire to be validated is not just a mere right endowed by man but higher human nature revealing essential necessities. To want to be whole and uplift every other human difference we’re born with is the foundation of the Sisterlocks purpose and mission.
I salute women of today and the myriads of women who will come after boldly marching on dedicated, declaring and resolute that “human rights are women’s rights and women’s rights are human rights, once and for all.”
