One of my favorite experiences of the Sisterlocks Freedom Tour was the bonding I had with my Sisterlocks family…all of them: Consultants and Trainees, Trainers, wearers and the like. It warmed my spirit to be in the company of so many men and women who came out to support these events.
The overwhelming response and enrollment in our classes and workshops was proof that our professionals are committed to on-going education and training. That has been a consistent goal of mine: to provide our professionals the absolute best training, education and support the industry has to offer. Our best professionals take advantage of those opportunities.
Our Training Team is amazing! Every class, workshop, demonstration was executed by someone who is truly committed to Sisterlocks. If you knew the number of near emergencies and “oh shit” moments we’ve had, you’d be as amazed as we are that everything went on without more glitches.
It wasn’t all work and no play! We danced, had contests, fabulous guest speakers. Each stop offered something different and equally memorable and I’m thankful to each Team in each city who made it possible.
A huge shout out to Brad and Kia Lewis, event planners extraordinaire! They truly made my life easier.
In case you didn’t know, we revealed a “special” announcement or item at each Freedom Tour stop. In Oakland, we held the first Brand Ambassador Certification Class. This class was developed to take our Certified Consultants who wanted to add another level of service and commitment to Sisterlocks, their clients and their businesses.
In Baltimore we made the official public debut of the Sisterlocks “Pandora Style” Charm Bracelet. These .925 sterling silver bracelets come “fully dressed” and feature a lock clasp bracelet, a double-sided Sisterlocks Flying Lady disc charm, stopper beads and a safety chain. At the Atlanta Freedom Tour stop we debuted the Sisterlocks Style Book! I can not tell you how overwhelmingly beautiful each page is!
In Detroit, my hometown, we rolled out the details of the Sisterlocks Society/Sorority/Coalition (name to be decided). Of its many tenants are charitable works, collective works and community development.
The Freedom Tour, as it turns out, was timely and necessary. I love you for being there! Dr. C
