1. WHY?
The Sisterlocks brand stands for quality and consistency. When someone re-certifies we want to see concrete evidence that they still practice the Sisterlocks techniques as they were taught. IT IS BECAUSE SO MANY OF OUR CONSULTANTS MAINTAIN OUR HIGH STANDARDS, THAT OUR BRAND HAS REMAINED STRONG FOR OVER 30 YEARS.

2. WHEN?
Our Consultants must re-certify every 2 years. Certification cycles expire either June 30th or December 31st of the second year. The expiration date is printed in the lower left corner of your certificate. Check your most recent certificate to verify your latest expiration date.

3. ACTIVE? OR INACTIVE?
Those who successfully complete our Consultant Training class are listed as ACTIVE on our official registry for a maximum of 2 years. During this time, Trainees are encouraged to become Certified.

Once someone is a Certified Sisterlocks Consultant, they must re-certify every 2 years in order to remain ACTIVE.

Certified Consultants must keep their status ACTIVE by re-certifying by the expiration date on their most recent certificate, or they become INACTIVE.

4. NEED A REFRESHER?
Option #1: "Certification Bootcamp" - Facilitated by our Certified Trainers. Strongly recommended for Trainees. Covers the specific criteria used by our Evaluators to determine if a Trainee is Certifiable. (Or, if a Certified Consultant is Re-certifiable. CLICK to read details and enroll.
Option #2: "Online Refresher" - Offered through the Sisterlocks Online Academy. Students work individually and unassisted through online exercises. This is a self-paced class that uses mock tests to prepare students for the 'real' ones. Great for a general topic review. CLICK FOR PREP & ENROLL
Option #3: "Advanced Refresher" - Offered through our Online Academy and facilitated by our Certified Trainers. Provides an in-depth review of the basics and provides the opportunity for attendees to get all of their questions addressed by an expert Sisterlocks practitioner. READ MORE

5. HOW TO RECERTIFY?
The key to a smooth recertification experience comes down to two things - timing and attention to details. Always submit your recertification materials BEFORE your expiration date.
