Sisterlocks offers everyone who has taken our 4-day course the opportunity to re-take it in order to 'refresh' and improve their proficiency. Individuals who enroll in our Refresher Courses are striving to be the best professionals they can be by staying on top of new developments, perfecting their skills and taking advantage of networking opportunities.
Some may also wish to enroll in order to renew their "Active" status as a Sisterlocks Trainee or Certified Consultant.
This applies to Trainees who have not filed their Certification Application within the allotted 2-year period and are considered to be "inactive." It also applies to Certified Consultants who have allowed their 2-year re-certification requirement to lapse, and are considered "inactive."
Please note these guidelines for reinstatement:
Call the Home Office (619-291-5116) to arrange a "Courtesy Extension" of either 3-months or 6-months. This will give you the time to fulfill the 2 requirements for reinstatement. These are:
1. Take a Refresher Course 2. File your Certification or Re-Certification paperwork by the date set by your Courtesy Extension.
What is an "Advanced Refresher?"
Occasionally at special events, Sisterlocks offers a 2-hour intensive refresher class that is separate from the 4-day class. The price and location are the same unless otherwise stated. The Advanced Refresher counts the same as the 4-day Refresher class.

The Regular 4-Day Refresher is offered to anyone who has previously taken the course and wishes to sit in to refresh themselves for the 4-day Consultant Training Class. Full 4-day attendance is strongly recommended. At a minimum, Refresher Students must be present at least from after lunch on day-1 through the end of day-3.
NOTE: The cost is $150.00 (NYC and Overseas prices may vary) the fee is transferable ONE TIME ONLY, but non-refundable.
Students should bring the training materials they received at their original training class, INCLUDING BOOK, MANNEQUIN HEAD, CLIPS, CLAMPS, ETC. Lost materials may be purchased from the Home Office.
