We received an overwhelmingly positive response to the Freedom Tour. There were also a plethora of requests for us to add more stops. You spoke and we've added another stop...Houston, Texas! This two day stop, November 10-11, 2018, will be our last Freedom Tour stop of the year. Don't miss this opportunity to meet up with us in Houston where we will learn, grow and empower! #dontmissit #freedom #25yearsoffreedom
One of my favorite experiences of the Sisterlocks Freedom Tour was the bonding I had with my Sisterlocks family…all of them: Consultants and Trainees, Trainers, wearers and the like. It warmed my spirit to be in the company of so many men and women who came out to support these events.
The overwhelming response and enrollment in our classes and workshops was proof that our professionals are committed to on-going education and training. That has been a consistent goal of mine: to provide our professionals the absolute best training, education and support the industry has to offer. Our best professionals take advantage of those opportunities.
Our Training Team is amazing! Every class, workshop, demonstration was executed by someone who is truly committed to Sisterlocks. If you knew the number of near emergencies and “oh shit” moments we’ve had, you’d be as amazed as we are that everything went on without more glitches.
It wasn’t all work and no play! We danced, had contests, fabulous guest speakers. Each stop offered something different and equally memorable and I’m thankful to each Team in each city who made it possible.
A huge shout out to Brad and Kia Lewis, event planners extraordinaire! They truly made my life easier.
In case you didn’t know, we revealed a “special” announcement or item at each Freedom Tour stop. In Oakland, we held the first Brand Ambassador Certification Class. This class was developed to take our Certified Consultants who wanted to add another level of service and commitment to Sisterlocks, their clients and their businesses.
In Baltimore we made the official public debut of the Sisterlocks “Pandora Style” Charm Bracelet. These .925 sterling silver bracelets come “fully dressed” and feature a lock clasp bracelet, a double-sided Sisterlocks Flying Lady disc charm, stopper beads and a safety chain. Stay tuned for your opportunity to score one for yourself…or maybe a gift for someone!
At the Atlanta Freedom Tour stop we debuted the Sisterlocks Style Book! I can not tell you how overwhelmingly beautiful each page is!
In Detroit, my hometown, we rolled out the details of the Sisterlocks Society/Sorority/Coalition (name to be decided). Of its many tenants are charitable works, collective works and community development.
The Freedom Tour, as it turns out, was timely and necessary. I love you for being there! Dr. C
We’re fresh off the Atlanta Freedom Tour stop and I’m still running on adrenaline! Each stop on the Sisterlocks Freedom Tour has been a uniquely rewarding experience. I wanted to share a few photos from Atlanta, in this brief post.
Our next, and final stop, is Detroit, Michigan. This is my hometown and I am asking all of my Sisterlocks family to turn up in a big way. I really want to see you there. I have a huge announcement to share!
There’s still time to reserve your cabin on the 25th Anniversary Cruise in December. We’re sailing to the Bahamas, Haiti and Cuba. Contact Charlotte for more information: firstname.lastname@example.org or 678-768-1799.
Signing off, for now. Dr. C!

When planning the Sisterlocks 25th Anniversary Freedom Tour, I had no clue as to what the outcome would be. We are in the midst of the Freedom Tour and I never realized how life changing this experience would be for so many! The rewards, so far, have surpassed my expectations. I mean, you guys are showing up and showing out!
Every Freedom Tour stop has a team working on the ground and all I have to do, basically, is show up! What a relief it is!!! Brad and Kia Lewis are at the helm and tending to every detail. I love what they’re doing. The local teams are arranging fabulously talented featured professionals and personalities, to educate and entertain, and they do not disappoint.
Our Brand Ambassador certification class was birthed just in time to launch on the tour. Our Brand Ambassadors have come to class ready to fulfill the requirements but they’ve also provided very innovative ideas that show their commitment to developing their roles as Brand Ambassadors to show that they mean business. I’m very honored to see this because it will help to accomplish the future goals of Sisterlocks.
The Lock Trichology Analyst certification class has produced professionals who will be an integral part of further development of the Sisterlocks lifestyle. We have discovered that addressing the hair loss link and providing remedies will involve a holistic approach. These TAs are ready and determined and I’m so thankful.
So, what I’m witnessing on the Freedom Tour are likeminded professionals coming together to learn, laugh and love on each other and I’m here for it!
Our next stops are Atlanta, GA in June and Detroit, MI – my home town in July. Join us, I'd love to see you! Dr. C

Pardon me, but this blog is all about ME!
I can't remember the last time I was so thrilled to be a part of something. This Freedom Tour is like a dream come true! My excitement started bubbling back in September of last year with our online competition that gave the tour its name. (Thank you Kathy Ferguson of Decatur, GA for your inspiration. "Freedom Tour" is perfect.) The latest thing that has me feeling on top of the world is the thought of teaching our first ever Brand Ambassador Certification Course. I feel like this is really going to catch on among our Consultants who 'get it' that Sisterlocks is more than a fabulous hair care system and a great business opportunity. It's a cultural treasure that needs to be preserved and protected.
Perhaps the best thing about the upcoming Oakland Freedom tour (and the others too) is that I didn't have to take on the burden of event planning and supervision like I've had to do each year with the San Diego Homecomings. Thanks to the local planning team and our event coordinator, I can stroll in like the Diva that everybody thinks I am!
I know that everyone reading this email may not be able to attend our event in Oakland, but I just wanted to share my excitement with you. If you are able to make it, all the better. There will be plenty of hugs, good times and a few Sisterlocks surprises that I can't wait to share with you.
Hope to see you there!
I appreciate you!
I'm going to try to make this short and sweet because I hate long, rambling posts.
After 25 years things look pretty simple to me: Sisterlocks is thriving because so many of our Consultants and Trainees are dedicated, honest, hard working sisters out there trying to do the best they know how. I appreciate you for that.
Our West Coast Freedom Tour stop is fast approaching. I can't tell you how excited I am to meet Sisterlocks professionals, clients and friends. I love the hugs and selfies, but I'll also hear your stories, suggestions and frustrations. It's a good reality check for me really, and it's what helps me keep Sisterlocks relevant. Thank you in advance for caring enough to share your thoughts with me.
Maybe it's just me, but I've always felt that a Sisterlocks practitioner had to be 'worthy' of Sisterlocks in order to be real. We have a responsibility to (finally!) give our sisters what they deserve. That means staying at the top of our game, networking, refreshing our knowledge, acquiring new skills. When we put the Freedom Tour together it was with all of this in mind. Take advantage of that and use this wonderful event as a professional stepping stone or pathway to self-improvement.
OK. This post is long enough, so I'll just cut to the chase: I have an appreciation gift for you! Consider it my small investment in your future.
Here it is! See you in Oakland!
